Sprocketeers Update: Death of Another Scanner, #SITweetup and Audit Update!
So here is the deal… a little over a year ago my home office scanner/copier/printer just stopped responding. It would power on but that was it. No function at all. I purchased a new HP OfficeJet and it has served my needs for Sprocketeers and home office needs for almost exactly a year and it will no longer pull documents into the feeder. So needles to say I have a STACK of documents that need to be scanned for Sprocketeers and that stack is only going to get bigger this week. So a replacement is on the way and I will have everything uploaded later this week
In other news, I’ll be attending the Smithsonian Museum Services Center tweetup later this week. Be sure to follow #SITweetup on Twitter.
The ASSEC Business Committee and ASSEC quarterly meeting area also scheduled this week as well. Keep watching for updates and notes. One of the subjects to be discussed this week is the audit that was not finalized as of Feb 1. (Deadline was Jan 31). The outstanding issue holding up the audit was decisions and paperwork from the bank that holds the center’s credit line. After reviewing the finances presented at the last business meeting it is hard to believe that the bank would be overly concerned since the center (at least as of January) had on the right path as far as finances go including showing some gains in several areas.
